I met my beautiful bombshell in 2009, thanks to my now best man who saw this chick and thought she was a perfect match for me. Our relationship started really over the phone in 2007. In 2009 I traveled home (Cameroon, Bamenda). Of course, I was hesitant to meet with her at first because our phone conversations went cold prior to me traveling home. Then my friend said what have you got to lose, call this chick up if you don’t like her keep it moving. By the time, I was in my dating prime, traveling home for the first time in 5 years. I was not ready to settle down.

Finally, I decided to place that phone call and invited her to meet me immediately at a spot in City Chemist Bamenda. Little did I know this was the beginning of the best thing that will happen to me. She came in unprepared, short pants, t-shirt, and flats. Moreover, she had a natural soft smooth caramel babyface, no makeup. The pictures she sent to me didn’t do justice to her at all.
When I set my eyes on her, I opened my arms and she fell in them. Not to mention, there was this natural current and warmth that I felt. As a matter of fact, my friend was looking from the sideline as we hugged for like a minute. To emphasize, I gave him a thumbs up from behind….????. The rest of the two weeks I had in Cameroon,
we spent every single day together. Trying to enjoy those weeks as much and we could and wish we could freeze time.

Eventually, I returned to the United States 2 weeks later but really couldn’t get my head around things. When I was leaving I gave her a promise ring that I will come back for her. This was January 2010. Around March that year, I figured this woman was made for me.
Straightaway, I called her up and proposed, and she said yes. My friends thought I was crazy, they thought I was making a mistake. I didn’t give a two cents what anybody thought at the time…???? 2010 Dec, I returned home and married my soul mate. 7yrs today we are blessed with 3 children. Gaby 5, Alexa 2 and Jr 4months old. That is our little love story in a nutshell.
