His latest collection of vibrant colorful tote bags called the MANILACABA is inspired by a “mind-blowing trip” to the Philippines. Christian teamed up with local women in the Philippines to create the beautifully stand-out totes in black and red hues. The creative tote bags will leave your wallet £1,265.00 short.
Obviously, I am all for ethically produced, sustainable designs. But over 1 K for a bag made out of African fabrics, that is just over the top. What I am interested in knowing is how much are the Manila artisans paid for their hard work?
Bear in mind, the handmade bags are designed to celebrate his journey. They are large, colorful bags perfect for the beach and taking on a holiday.
Previously, the designer faced a backlash from the African community for a similar collection the called the Africaba.
