Miss Cameroon Audrey Nabila Monkam crowned the winner of the competition Friday, December 28.
Audrey Nabila Monkam crowned the winner of Miss Cameroon 2020 competition. 24-year-old Nabila Monkam who currently holds the title of Miss North West now becomes Miss Cameroon 2020. The 1.80meters pageant took the prestigious national crown after contesting with 19 candidates representing the different regions in Cameroon.

On Saturday, December 28th 2019 Nabila Monkam took home the crown of Miss Cameroon at a ceremony held at the Yaounde sports complex. Cameroon’s Minister of Sports and Culture Ismael Bidoung Mkpatt hosted the ceremony.
During her project proposal speech, Audrey promised to tackle issues affecting Cameroonian women and youths. However, her speech immediately faced criticism by millions of viewers across the world as lacking in substance and strategy. Nonetheless, it did not stop Audrey from taking the prestigious crown home to the North West Province.
Apart from wearing the prestigious national crown, Audrey also took home the sum of 5.000.00 CFA as well as a brand new SUV Jeep.
Nabila’s runner-ups included Miss Littoral Duchess Irene Kolle, Miss South West Adamma Bazil, Miss Centre Charline Stephanie Nkoa Amougou. Last but not least, Miss South West 1st Runner Up Rose-Noella Moyou Arrey and Miss Cameroon-Canada Marguerite Dieunie Kilama.
In 2018, the Cameroon Court of First Instance Suspended the competition due to cheating scandals that plagued the competition. Nseke Aimee Caroline the 2018 winner received a prohibition from wearing her crown due to the court case pending a resolution. A decision later signed by Cameroon’s Minister of Arts and Culture, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi to take over the competition.
