Cameroonian designer Lavie By CK has announced on her social media she will be showcasing her designs for the first time during New York Fashion Week.
Lavie By CK an haute Ankara fashion brand owned by 26 years-old New York base Claude Kameni. Kameni took to her social media channels to announce to her fans and clients that her brand will be making its first NYFW appearance.
New York Fashion Week like any other fashion week around the world usually brings together guests including industry insiders, fashion designers and buyers. Here is what the talented Cameroonian designer shared on her Instagram.
“I am so happy to announce that I will be showcasing my winter collection this year for the first time @nyfw @fashionweek next week the 15th. This is a total dream come true for me. My journey as a designer began in high school as a junior high from High Point High School 9years ago. I had my first ever fashion show as a self-taught designer in high school. Today, I’m 26 and about to kill the NY Fashion Week runway as a self-taught designer. Don’t tell me God ain’t good.” Kameni wrote.
Of course, we cannot wait to see what the brands inaugural collection will deliver on the runway. Hopefully, this collection will be the defining moment in the young designers career in fashion.
